Mason Jar Bean Chili Recipe



Prep time: 0 minutes Cook time: 30-60 minutes

Servings: 4-6


Ingredients:

  • 2 TBSP cup chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon dried cumin

  • 1/2 tablespoon dried oregano

  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley

  • 1/2 cup dried black beans

  • 1/2 cup dried kidney beans

  • 28-ounce can diced or crushed tomatoes (3.5 cups or 828ml)

  • 1/2 of an 8 ounce can of tomato paste

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 2 vegetable bouillon cubes

  • 6-8 cups water

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.

  • Cover and simmer for 30-60 minutes until beans are soft.

  • For best results, transfer 1/2 of cooked chili to a blender, puree, then return to pot.

  • Serve in your favourite bowl!
