To me, August has a very specific energy. The streets are quieter, the days are warmer, and the lake looks especially inviting. But I think somewhere in the back of all our minds, there’s a little reminder: September is coming, i.e., classes are starting.


It’s a funny in-between time: part of you might want to soak up every last drop of summer, while another part feels the pressure of routines, schedules, and the buzz of campus life returning. 


Instead of letting that thought bring stress, why not use it as motivation to fill August with activities that recharge your mind, body, and spirit? Self-care can feel overwhelming when it’s framed as a big project: fix your sleep schedule, change your habits, overhaul your diet. But that’s not realistic – especially during a month that’s supposed to be slow, light, and a little bit fun.

This is why we’ve curated a self-care bingo card. It’s designed with small, affordable actions you can take to boost your wellness – whether you’re staying in Kingston, working a summer job, or even visiting home. 


Why Bingo? 

It’s not about grand overhauls or expensive retreats, it’s about stacking up tiny, joyful actions that make a difference over time. Plus, there’s something satisfying about crossing off each square and watching your progress grow. 


You can play solo, challenge a housemate, or even make it a group competition with friends! 


How to Play 

  1. Grab the bingo card: screenshot it, print it, or jot the activities down in your notes app. 

  2. Complete activities in any order. 

  3. Go for a line or diagonal if you’re looking for something light, or try completing all of them if you want to make August extra intentional. 

  4. Invite friends – everything’s more fun when you make it social (plus, accountability helps!) 


Reminder: 

August may feel like it’s short, but this bingo is a reminder to slow down and enjoy it. Whether you cross off three squares or all twenty-five, you’ll head into September feeling more refreshed.
