Split Pea Soup


  • 2 cups of split peas

  • 1 tsp minced onion (dried)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp thyme leaves

  • 1 tumeric

  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper

  • 2 vegetable bouillon cubes

  • 5 cups of water


  1. Add 5 cups of water and all other ingredients to a large pot

  2. Bring water to a boil over nigh heat, reduce heat to low and simmer until the peas are tender and the soup is thick, about 45-50 minutes

  3. Add more water if necessary to soften peas (Optional: puree for smooth finish)

  4. Season to taste (add salt and pepper, other spices as desired!)
