Hey Queen's! Interested in adding more nutritious meals to your diet and picking up some food skills? Below are some of upcoming food programs in the fall and winter terms run by our peer health educators!
👨🍳Healthy cooking sessions
Whether you're a chef or a newbie, you will enjoy our peer-led Healthy Cooking Sessions! You’ll get hands-on experience preparing a nutritious and yummy 3-course meal which you will then enjoy with other students. Some past recipes include burrito bowls, strawberry shortcake parfaits, spaghetti bolognese, among many other delicious options. Registration opens two weeks prior.
Fall dates: Week 3, 6, 8, 11 (particular evening TBD)
Winter dates: Weeks 3, 5, 7, 11 (particular evening TBD)
Cost: $10
🍱Fresh Food Box
Our fresh food box, which you might notice is in reality a bag for convenience (the name has stuck), is packed with fresh produce and ingredients that make preparing a healthy meal a breeze. Some past recipes include Moroccan eggplant stew, vegan Asian stir-fry, and stuffed peppers. Registration opens one week in advance.

🍲Mason Jar Meal
In need of a meal that requires little cooking and can sit on your shelf for a long time? Our Mason Jar Meals are perfect for busy students and are easy to prepare between classes. These meals only require you to add water, and they’re completely free! Some past recipes include split pea soup, hearty pasta soup, vegan breakfast cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and so many more. Registration opens one week in advance.
Fall dates: Sep 12, Oct 10, Nov 14, Dec 12
Winter dates: Jan 16, Feb 13, Mar 20
🛒Grocery Game Plan
Looking to learn some tips to grocery shop more effectively and save money? Join us for an interactive workshop about nutrition, budget-conscious smart shopping tips, and how to create a usable grocery list. Then in part two, students go on a Food Basics trip where they are provided with a gift card and accompanied by peer health educators who are there to answer questions and support with real-time decision making. Registration opens two weeks in advance.

Winter dates: Feb 4, Mar 11
