Winter Chili

This delicious and easy winter chili yields 8-10 servings.


Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cups of lentils

  • 2/3 cups of green split peas

  • 2/3 cups of yellow split peas

  • 10 cups of water

  • 1 cup of barley

  • 1 tsp of chili powder

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 28oz can diced tomatoes

  • 1 tbsp cumin

  • 2 tsp kosher salt

  • 2 tsp onion powder/flakes


Instructions

  1. Add 10 cups of water, jar ingredients & tomatoes to a large pot

  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat to low and simmer until tender and the chili is thick (about 1-1.5 hours)

  3. Add more water if necessary to soften peas, lentils, and barley
