Ingredients

 

Chili Mix:
  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onion

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • ¼ cup chili powder

  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley

  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano

  • 2 tablespoons dried cumin

  • 1 cup dried kidney beans

  • 1 cup dried pinto beans

  • 1 cup dried black beans

  • 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes

 

Optional Additions (for extra flavor):
  • 2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey, browned and drained

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato paste

  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large stock pot, combine the chili mix, diced tomatoes, and 12 cups of water.

  2. Add any optional ingredients you’d like to include.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.

  4. Cover with a lid and simmer for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
